The Jenkins family history of woodworking began 3 generations back with Ryan’s grandfather, Jerry Jenkins; a hobbyist woodworker, and extremely influential man in Ryan's life. Ryan learned his skills from his grandfather and working next to him, in the shop, was a place he called home.
Second Hand Barrel Co. started as just a thought...
The majority of Ryan's adult life, he's spent employed in commercial sales. On the weekends, he enjoyed "flipping" things; cars, boats and eventually whiskey barrels. A friend traded Ryan two whiskey barrels to flip and before the weekend was up, he had garnered thousands of emails with requests and interest. Ryan had stumbled onto something amazing. Geared with his grandfather's influence and creativity, as well as his wife's support, Ryan knew this was bigger than just a thought. He traveled the Kentucky Hills searching for barrels. Load by load, Second Hand Barrel Co. was created.
Ryan, Faith and their children are proud to offer the opportunity for families to bring a piece of American history into their home.
Hannah, Benjamin & Noah
The Jenkins kids are huge contributing motivators around the Second Hand Barrel Co. shop!
Hannah can be found most days after school, in the shop, helping design and construct herself! She loves being able to be such a hands on part of her family's legacy.
Benjamin and Noah can also be found in the shop, hanging out in their own "Kids Lounge"! Creating the kids lounge has allowed the family to spend more quality time together.
Whether planning for their next Boy Scout Troop event or family vacation-the Jenkins family dynamic is what makes them a great team!
Teddy Bear, Forrest & Ginny Jenkins
Teddy Bear Jenkins, or "Bear", for short, can also be found hanging out at the Second Hand Barrel Co. shop! Forrest & Ginny are always available to share all the puppy love!
Bear is keeping Forrest & Ginny entertained and would love for you to stop by to say "Hi!"

Retired framing carpenter and 30-year veteran wresting coach, "Grandpa" Jerry is a constant around the shop. Not only lending his woodworking knowledge, but life experience and guidance as well. Grandpa Jerry is a great mentor and longtime family friend and partner of the Jenkins.

When Brandon isn't in the shop, working with his hands, he's busy-hands on, raising this amazing bunch! Pictured with his beautiful wife, Danielle, they are proud parents to: Elayah, Little Brandon, Carter, Colton; Skyler and Shelby!
